A popular Lincoln nursery has been awarded the highest possible judgement by Ofsted following its recent inspection.
Children 1st @ The Marina at Brayford Pool in Lincoln has been rated as “outstanding in all areas” following an inspection by Ofsted.
This places the nursery in the top 13% of early years education providers in England and Wales.
The nursery, which joined Children 1st Day Nurseries in 2014, was purchased from the Old Station Nursery group.
Leadership within the nursery found to “ensure all aspects of the provision are of the highest quality.”
The quality of professional development for the staff was described as making “a significant difference to children’s care and learning.”
Children were found to benefit from the high expectations of the staff and the challenges and opportunities presented in the “vibrant, exciting and stimulating environment.”
There was also high praise for the children who were described as “extremely happy and confident”, who “learn excellent social skills,” and “demonstrate remarkable tolerance and respect.”
Rachel Kitts, senior manager at the nursery, said: “It’s great to have the inspector endorse the impact of our staff development on the quality of provision at the nursery.”
Margaret Mason, founder and chief executive of Children 1st Day Nurseries said: “I’m particularly pleased by the inspector’s comments about how well the learning environment is planned so that it meets the varying needs of the children.
“This, along with the range of teaching strategies used to engage and motivate all the children is clearly making a significant difference to their progress and well-being.”
