A motorcyclist involved in a serious crash with a car on the A158 has died.

As previously reported, an air ambulance was called to the collision at Hagworthingham shortly before 12.30pm on Monday, September 12.

The 66-year-old male motorcyclist from Chesterfield was riding his silver Suzuki 1200cc motorbike on the A158 at Hagworthingham towards Skegness.

He was flown to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious injuries but has now sadly died.

Sergeant Chris Dennett, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I would appeal for any witnesses who saw the collision or were in the vicinity to contact me.

“I am particularly keen to speak to a small group of motorcyclists who witnesses tell me where also riding in the area.

“I would impress the motorcyclists are simply thought to have witnessed the collision and are not involved in it.”

Anyone with information is asked to call in on the Witness Collision Line 01522 558855.

Three motorcyclists have now died on Lincolnshire’s roads over the last week.

Callum Warrilow, 17, died after a car knocked him off his scooter before driving away from the scene on the A1 near Barrowby.

Officers arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with the incident on Tuesday, September 13.

Later that week, 63-year-old Nigel Usher from Farndon, Newark lost his life after a collision on Ingham Road in Stow near Gainsborough.
