Police have named Calum Jordan Dowers of Stapleton, Leicester as the 17-year-old who died in a collision on the A1 earlier this week.

As previously reported, the 17-year-old, also known as Calum Warrilow, tragically died after a car knocked him off his scooter before driving away from the scene.

The fatal crash saw a vehicle collide with the teenage biker, who was riding on the northbound carriageway of the A1 at Barrowby, near Grantham at around 10pm on Tuesday, September 13.

Officers arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving on Wednesday, September 14.

The man has now been released on bail.

Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that the vehicles involved were a Mercedes Benz car, an orange moped and a DAF articulated lorry.
