Lincolnshire Police believe that a man found dead in a home earlier this week took his own life, with a cause of death for his wife yet to be established.

As previously reported, the bodies of a man and woman, thought to be husband and wife Lawrence and Bernice Williams, were found in Lutton by police.

Lawrence Williams, 50, was discovered by officers on April 7, with his wife of the same age found by specialist teams on April 9 at the property on Colley’s Gate.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Post mortem examinations have been carried out but cause of death has yet to be established for Mrs Williams, while it is believed Mr Williams took his own life.

“Investigating officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

“A file is being prepared for the coroner.”
