A Lincoln woman has lost an incredible 12 stone after realising the food she was eating was actually killing her.

Jo Diamond said the drastic weight loss from a size 30 to a size 12 has completely changed her life.

She found the determination to lose weight after being admitted to hospital and worrying if the beds would be able to hold her.

Jo is now a size 12

All throughout Jo’s life she was affected with her weight, causing concerns with all aspects of daily life, from getting out of bed to day to day living.

Jo weighed over 26 stone and her health had deteriorated over the years, with her suffering from diabetes and ulcerated colitis.

Her confidence was at an all-time low, and in time Jo found herself in a negative place.

Jo has lost over 12 stone in weight

In the past Jo had tried every single diet going, always starting on a Monday then during the week started to crave certain foods which caused her to fail, turning to food once again.

Jo was too ashamed to attend a weight loss group and decided to try Slimming World from home but over time Jo realised she needed extra support.

On joining a group, Jo knew this time was not going to be a quick fix and that her journey was going to become a complete new lifestyle filled will healthy foods.

Jo is now confident and loves her new figure

Over two years Jo remained on plan which included three months of holidays, and reached her target of 12 stone 7lb loss (size 12).

Jo has said that without Slimming World and the support from her consultant Suzanne, husband Iain, and family, her life would be entirely different to what it is today.
