A 61-year-old woman who tragically died in a horror crash on the A15 has been named locally.

Bourne woman Gillian West was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after the crash involving a Nissan Micra and Kia Sorento towing a caravan near Sleaford on March 22.

In a statement on April 7, Lincolnshire Police said that Gillian had died from her injuries, around two weeks after the crash.

She leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Lewis West, children Jamie and Glynn, and granddaughter Jessica.

Her family described her as selfless, saying she always had a kind smile and friendly conversation for everyone.

Gillian worked at the Hereward Group Practice pharmacy and St Peter’s Hospital, and was a member of the Bourne and District Lawn Tennis Club.
