Police are appealing after one cat was shot with an air gun and another was shaved leaving a deep cut in Skegness.

The incidents were reported to police on April 1 on Church Lane, Croft.

It is believed both cats were deliberately injured and required veterinary treatment.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are appealing for information about a suspicious incident in Church Lane, Croft, where two cats were deliberately injured.

“One is thought to have been shot with an air weapon and the other sustained a deep cut whilst having some of its fur purposely shaved.

“Both animals required vet treatment but are recovering.”
