A man has been taken to hospital with injuries sustained when a microlight aircraft crash landed in woodland near Wainfleet St Mary.

A man has been taken to hospital with injuries sustained when a microlight aircraft crash landed in woodland near Wainfleet St Mary.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 4.20pm on Sunday, May 28.

The pilot, a man in his late fifties from Leicestershire, was taken to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment to injuries which are not thought to be life threatening, police said.

The Air Accident Investigation Board were informed of the incident.
