Man in custody after car ploughs into apartment block at Butlins

A 26-year-old man from North Yorkshire is in custody and being questioned after a car ploughed into apartments at the Butlins holiday park in Ingoldmells. A 26-year-old man from North Yorkshire is in custody and being questioned after a car ploughed into apartments at the Butlins holiday park in Ingoldmells.

As previously reported, the incident happened at around 10.15pm on Wednesday, June 14, with one onlooker who pictured the aftermath claiming that the driver had deliberately crashed into the apartment block.

This has not been confirmed by Lincolnshire Police who are continuing to investigate the crash.

No-one was injured.

Police are dealing with this under incident number 508 of June 14.

Lincolnshire Police have been unable to clarify the reason for the arrest.
