Garage pioneer and mainstream multi-million seller Craig David took to the stage in Cleethorpes, performing his greatest hits and tracks from his latest album to an adoring crowd.

The thousands in attendance at the Meridian Showground on Friday, July 14, were treated to well-known classics such as 7 Days, Rise and Fall and Rewind.

The gig was performed ahead of the release of Craig’s highly anticipated new album, ‘Following My Intuition’ out September 30.

This is part of Craig’s biggest UK arena tour in 15 years.

Speaking to Lincolnshire Reporter before the gig, the Southampton-born singer said that he was excited about performing in the Lincolnshire seaside town for the first time in his illustrious career.

He said: “This year has been one of the first years where I’ve been taking the shows on the road but not to the most obvious places.

“For me it’s a nice way of hitting parts the country you wouldn’t normally hit.

“I had so much fun being on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury the other week but I also have as much fun doing the intimate gigs in front of 300 people at another part of the festival.”

Supporting Craig for his concert on the Lincolnshire coast was rapper Professor Green and drum and bass DJ and record production duo Sigma.
