Appeal after man with shaved head wearing England shirt tries to grab teenage girl

Police are appealing for information.

Humberside Police are appealing for information after a man with a shaved head tried to assault a teenage girl in Grimsby.

The assault on the path between Westward Ho and Littlefield Lane happened at around 8.40pm on Saturday, August 5.

The 12-year-old girl was walking down the path when the man attempted to grab her around the waist.

She managed to push the man off and run away.

The man is believed to have fled in the opposite direction.

He is described as white, between 30 and 40-years-old and 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall with a skinny build.

Police have said that he had a shaved head and was clean shaven.

He was wearing a white short sleeved England shirt, dark blue tracksuit bottoms and light coloured trainers.

Anyone who can identify the man should call police on 101, quoting crime reference 16/27837/17.
