Car overturns after hitting parked vehicle in North Hykeham

The driver suffered minor injuries.

Emergency services rushed to the North Hykeham yesterday where a car overturned after hitting a parked vehicle.

The incident happen at around 9.10pm on Monday, August 14 on Dore Avenue.

A Renault Scenic hit a parked Skoda Octavia before overturning.

The crash pushed the parked vehicles into the front wall of a property causing minor damage to brickwork.

The driver of moving vehicle sustained minor injuries – it was this car that was left on its side.

Witnesses have praised emergency services for their efficiency during the incident.

Julie Hildred posted on You’re Probably From Lincoln If… : “We were absolutely blown away by the coming together of community wanting to help, blankets, calling emergency services, assisting etc.

“The emergency services, police, paramedics, fire services, were on scene very quickly and dealt with everything so professionally and efficiently.

“By 11pm, the pick up trucks had removed all vehicles and looking at the road, you would hardly know anything had happened two hours earlier.

“Lincoln at its very best. Sending good wishes to the people involved in the accident, hope they are ok.”

Police are dealing with this under incident number 543 of August 14.
