Emergency services called after man falls from roof of Grimsby restaurant

The man has been taken to hospital.

Emergency services were called earlier today after a man fell from the roof of a building in Grimsby.

The incident happened at around 9.30am on Wednesday, August 23 in the Old Market Place.

It is believed a 60-year-old man fell from the Golden Regency restaurant.

He has been taken to Diana Princes of Wales Hospital for treatment, however he is not believed to have suffered serious injuries.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “The incident has now been assessed and classified as accidental injury with no suspicious circumstances.

“The man is not thought to be seriously injured.”
