Lincoln DialaRide appeals for volunteers and customers to celebrate its 30th birthday

The event takes place next month.

Lincoln DialaRide is urging past and present customers and volunteers to help celebrate its 30th birthday.

The business has helped people who have provided transport for people in Lincoln and surrounding areas who have difficulty using public transport.

In the last couple of years DialaRide has launched a voluntary car scheme which helps support people not in the current radius.

DialaRide is holding an event on September 5 at The Showroom on Tritton Road between 1pm and 3pm.

Representatives from City of Lincoln Council, North Kesteven District Council, West Lindsey District Council, and Lincolnshire Co-op president Julia Romney will be at the event, along with Mayor of Lincoln Chris Burke.

During the celebration light refreshments will be on offer and a raffle will run.

Registered user Barbara Moody said: “My life would be very different without it. This also enables me to use local shops and services that I otherwise would not be able to.”
