Lincoln’s LN postcode has been named as one of the luckiest postcodes in the UK over the last decade by National Lottery.
Some 90 people have won £50,000 or more in the LN postcode are, making the city the 13th luckiest in the UK out of 121 areas.
The LN population is just over 250,000 people meaning one in every 2,827 players is a winner.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Congratulations to everyone in Lincoln and the LN postcode. Thirteen is a lucky number!
“There are now more than 4,600 National Lottery millionaires across the country.
“The National Lottery makes, on average, a new millionaire every day meaning there are big winners in every corner of the country.”
City of Lincoln Council has benefitted from National Lottery funding and has been given £22million in the last 23 years.
