Plans for 91 homes in Lincolnshire village unanimously approved by councillors

A major development.

Plans for 91 houses in a village near Boston have been unanimously approved by councillors.

The proposals on land west of Boston Road in Kirton were given the go-ahead at at Boston Borough Council planning committee meeting on Tuesday, August 15.

Now a total of 180 dwellings will be built on the site by developers Persimmon Homes East Midlands.

The site was previously approved, however the developers decided to change a number of dwellings due to a drop in interest of four and five bed detached homes.

A total of 40 of the 91 approved homes had previously been granted as four and five bed houses.

These will now be changed into smaller homes leaving space for extra housing.

Many of the homes on the site will now be three bedroom semi-detached properties due to a greater demand for them.
