Yellow weather warning in place for 60mph gusts across Lincolnshire

Met Office weather warning in place.

The Met Office has issued another weather warning for strong winds across Lincolnshire.

The county will have a brief breather from yesterday’s winds of Storm Eleanor before a surge of gusts reaching up to 60mph sweeps across the Midlands and the south of the UK.

A yellow warning is in place on Thursday, January 4 until 7pm.

Met Office forecasters said: “A spell of strong and gusty winds is expected to move eastwards during Thursday.

“Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely with some journeys taking longer. Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges are also possible.

“There is also the potential for some short term loss of power supplies. It is likely that some coastal routes, seafronts and coastal communities exposed to these winds will be affected by spray and/or large waves.”
