Lincoln para-athlete to compete for England at Commonwealth Games

Representing Lincoln and England.

Lincoln-based para-athlete Mark Conway lost a leg in his teenage years, but is now heading out to represent England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Doctors said losing his leg was his last chance to beat bone cancer.

Mark is now getting ready to make his Commonwealth Games debut as he flies out to Australia to compete in the para-triathlon on the Gold Coast, which starts on April 4.

The para-athlete won his first ever World Paratriathlon medal in Japan in 2016 with Bronze in the PT1 event.

Mark, who normally works in the finance department at Lincolnshire County Council, is part of a 10-man England team including the Olympic medal winning Brownlee brothers Alistair and Jonny.
