Man left with life-changing injuries after pub assault

Humberside Police want to speak to this man

A 46-year-old man has been left with potentially life-changing facial injuries after an alleged assault in a Cleethorpes bar.

The incident happened at some point prior to 4am on Sunday, May 20 in The Bootlegger on Alexandra Road.

The victim was allegedly assaulted as he waited at the bar by a man he had spoken to at the venue earlier in the evening.

The suspect is said to have an Irish accent with a Yorkshire twang.

He is described as white, around 34-years-old and with dark hair, and he was wearing a dark blue t-shirt and a long-length 7.5oz gold chain.

The suspect was with two other men, police said. One was around 32-years-old and wore a white t-shirt and the third man was shorter than the other two and had a skin head.

Humberside Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the serious assault.

Anyone who saw what happened or who can identify the pictured man should contact Humberside Police on 101 quoting log number 103 of May 20.
