Attempted murder arrest in Grimsby

The victim is in a stable condition in hospital

A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an alleged stabbing in an Asda car park in Grimsby on Friday night.

The man was arrested and remains in custody after the incident in the car park of the supermarket on Holles Street at around 8.15pm on Friday, June 1.

The victim is in a stable condition at Castle Hill Hospital in Hull according to Humberside Police.

The man, who was wearing a blue top and on a bike, reportedly rode up to the victim and attacked him before riding off towards Freeman Street, police said.

It is believed the man is known to the victim and police say there isn’t any threat to the wider public.
