Fire damages 1,000 mannequins overnight

A controlled fire spread to an army of shop mannequins

Fire crews battled a blaze which damaged around 1,000 shop mannequins in the Fulbeck area overnight.

Crews from Sleaford, Nottinghamshire and Waddington were called to the fire at a business on Brant Road, Fulbeck at around 7pm on Tuesday, June 26.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescure said the blaze was out in the open and was extinguished using three main jets and a hose reel jet.

Plumes of black smoke were seen in the area and crews added there was severe damage to 1,000 plastic mannequins.

The cause has been put down to a controlled burning which got out of control.

Mannakin Lt, located on Brant Road, deals in the hire of recycled shop mannequins.

Fire officers returned to the scene on the morning of Wednesday, June 27.
