Hotel with amazing views over Lincoln up for sale

Business opportunity as one of the city’s hotels goes on the market

An 1880s hotel with spectacular views over Lincoln has been put up for sale for £850,000.

Business owners of the local family-run Hillcrest Hotel have put the building onto the market due to ill health.

The building, at 15 Lindum Terrace, overlooks the grade II listed Arboretum and its hilltop position gives it one of the best seats in the house for picture perfect cityscapes.

It was a former rectory and dates back to 1880. It has its own garden, 15 bedrooms ranging from singles to a four poster suite.

It also has an extension built in the 1980s which currently provides owners’ living accommodation.

Current business owners acquired the hotel in 2008. Agents Lambert Smith Hampton said: “Unfortunately, due to ill health, the owners have reluctantly decided to sell the hotel.”

They had earned four of a possible five stars on Tripadvisor.

The freehold for the 7,089 square foot hotel is for sale for £850,000.
