Man stabbed on Lincoln High Street

Two people have been arrested

A man was taken to hospital after a stabbing on Lincoln High Street on Saturday.

Police were called to Portland Street shortly before 4.30pm on Saturday, September 29 after a man had been stabbed.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We were called to Portland Street, Lincoln, at 4.25pm today (September 29).

“A man had been stabbed. He was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham. His injuries are not life-threatening.

“Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information should call 101, quoting Incident 310 of September 29”.

Eye witness David Waterman told The Lincolnite: “There were loads of police and ambulance where Portland Street meets the High Street, someone said there’s been a stabbing.

“I saw the guy getting into the ambulance. He was holding his chest near his heart, but it must not have been bad as he walked into the ambulance.”
