Man threatened police officers with kitchen knife

He has since been released

An armed man in his 40s was tasered and arrested over the weekend after he allegedly “threatened officers with a large kitchen knife.”

Lincolnshire Police’s armed response team were deployed in the city on Sunday, September 16 after reports of a man carrying a knife.

Negotiations failed and the man was then tasered when he opened the door to his flat while holding a knife.

The Lincolnshire Police Dog Section also assisted in this case.

He was arrested and relevant assessments were made.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police confirmed that the man was released without charge in relation to incident 165 of September 16.
