Another movie star-studded drama to be filmed in Lincolnshire

Key Casting are looking for paid extras

Maleficent star Elle Fanning will play the leading role in a historical television drama being filmed in Lincolnshire and other locations.

Nicholas Hoult, who appeared in films including About a Boy and X:Men, along with television show Skins, will also star in The Great for American streaming service Hulu, which is about the reign of the Empress of Russia Catherine The Great.

The drama focuses on the rise to power of Catherine the Great and her combative relationship with husband Peter (Hoult), the emperor of Russia.

It’s written and executive produced by Tony McNamara.

Filming is taking place in Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Leicester with open casting calls taking place later this week and beyond as Key Casting look for paid extras to feature in the drama.

People can come along anytime between the hours of 2pm and 8pm to casting calls in York (October 26) at the Riverside Suite Park Inn by Radisson Hotel) and Leicester (October 29) at at The Ballroom at The City Rooms.

This drama is not to be confused with the separate miniseries HBO is developing about the Russian monarch, starring Helen Mirren.
