Fire crews help casualty after car crashes into field

The crash involving one car into a field

Fire and ambulance crews rushed to the scene of a crash involving one car into a field in Scothern on Thursday evening.

The crash on Nettleham Road in Scothern was reported to Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue at around 8.19pm on Thursday, October 4.

One patient was taken to Lincoln County Hospital with minor injuries for further care.

Fire crews posted onto social media that they were able to assist with helping a patient onto a spinal board.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue said: “All persons self-released on arrival. Both the whole-time and on-call crews attended from Lincoln North and assisted with lighting and helping to place one patient onto a spinal board.”

A spokesperson for EMAS said: “We received a call at 20:14pm to a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on Nettleham Road.

“We sent a paramedic in a fast response vehicle and a crewed ambulance. One patient was taken to Lincoln County Hospital for further care.”

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police added: “Incident 451 of October 4 was called in at 8.20pm. It was a single vehicle collision between Nettleham and Scothern and the car ended on its side in a field.

“There was minor injuries, one taken to hospital. No arrests.”
