Lincoln City supporters registered at the nearby Portland Medical Practice will be able to have their flu jab at Sincil Bank ahead of Saturday’s match against Crewe.
There will be a doctor and nurse from the practice in attendance in the Sport & Education Trust Office at the stadium between 12pm-1pm to administer the jab.
Patients of the practice can contact them to book their slot to have the jab at Sincil Bank and there will also be appointments available on a walk-in basis as well.
Chief clinical officer at NHS Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group, and partner at Portland Medical Practice, Dr Sunil Hindocha said: “The flu vaccination is quick and easy to have. Getting the flu is not just getting a cold. It can seriously affect your health and the risk of developing complications are greater for people within the ‘at-risk’ groups.
“The more people who choose to have the vaccination, the less likely it is for flu to spread. Getting vaccinated will not only help protect you, but it may help stop the spread of flu more widely.”
Head of Community at Lincoln City Paul Hamnett said: “We are working closely with Portland Medical Practice and the Clinical Commissioning Group to raise the profile of this important season and we are enabling an opportunity but hope to extend in the future.
“Other GP practices will also be running flu clinics. Speak to a member of your practice team and they will be able to tell you when you can have the jab.”
NHS staff discount
NHS staff can get 30% off standard match price tickets for Young Adults, Concessions and Adults for Saturday’s match.
This offer will house NHS staff in the Stacey West Stand and a ticket must be purchased from the ticket office with valid ID.
The Imps’ Marketing Manager Jake Longworth said: “It’s great that we are able to give a little something back to the NHS for all their continuous hard work.
“The NHS do such a fantastic job, and this offer is in recognition off all their invaluable hard work and dedication.”
