Thor’s tipi bar secured for three more years

The Cheese Cave will debut at Thor’s this year
THOR's Tipi Bar will be arriving at The Cornhill this November.

Thor’s tipi bar is not only returning to Lincoln as a festive delight this year, but it has also signed a three-year deal to become an annual favourite in the city.

As previously reported, Thor’s tipi bar is preparing to open again on Sincil Street from 10am on Friday, November 9 until Monday, December 31 and entry is free.

Two linked canvas tipis will form the bar, which will be decorated with twinkling lights, wooden tables and benches, cosy furs and an open fire pit.

A brand new drinks menu offers exciting new lagers, pale ales and Guinness, along with festive favourites such as mulled wine and hot cider.

There will also be a new range of flavoured hot chocolates and adults can add a kick to theirs with delicious shots including Salted Caramel Vodka or Rum Orange. Tea and coffees as well as soft drinks will also be available.

Opening times

Thor’s tipi bar will be open from 10am to 10pm Sundays to Thursdays and from 10am until 11pm Fridays and Saturdays, but it will be closed on Christmas day.

Co-Founder of Thor’s Maria Farrugia said: “Our first year in Lincoln was a hugely successful one with thousands of shoppers, families and visitors coming to soak up the atmosphere, so we are thrilled that Lincoln has invited us back, not just for this year but until 2020.”

The Cheese Cave

Street food vendor The Cheese Cave will be making its debut at Thor’s with its vintage trailer this year.

Owner of the business Emma said: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with Thor’s tipi bar this winter and can’t wait to bring The Cheese Cave along to serve up some delicious grilled cheese street food to the hungry hordes!

“With locally sourced produce and award-winning Sourdough bread from Welbeck bakery, we think our food is perfect for everyone to enjoy around the roaring fires in the tipi and w’ere thrilled the Thor’s team think so too!”
