Armed police arrest man on High Street

They were called to reports that a man was carrying a gun

Armed police arrested a man on Lincoln High Street after receiving reports of a “person carrying a gun”.

Lincolnshire Police were called at 11.20am on November 14 with a report that a man was in possession of a firearm on Nettleham Road.

The force sent out armed police to the scene and arrested the man on the lower High Street area, near to the junction with Tentercroft Street.

He was detained on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm in a public place and has now been taken into custody.

An eyewitness told The Lincolnite that police dogs, armed police and around four police vehicles were in attendance.
