Former constable to face hearing over alleged drug test refusal

The hearing will be held next week

A former Gainsborough police constable will face questions over an alleged refusal to provide a sample for drug testing.

A special case hearing has been set for Thursday, November 22 for former Constable Lewis Jackson.

It is alleged that on October 8, 2018, whilst still a serving police officer, Mr Jackson refused to comply with a request to provide a sample for drug testing.

Former Constable Jackson is accused of breaching the following standards of professional behaviour:

  • Honesty and Integrity
  • Orders and Instructions
  • Discreditable Conduct

The hearing will be held at Lincolnshire Police Headquarters, Deepdale Lane, Nettleham, LN2 2LT from 9.30am.

The identity of victims/witnesses will be protected during the hearing.
