All rooms also have LED ceiling lighting, providing a warmer ambiance, Travelodge’s ‘comfort cooling’ to enable you to regulate the temperature of your room, a 32 inch Freeview TV, free in-room tea & coffee making facilities and access to Wifi.

Councillor Pat Mewis said: “We warmly welcome Travelodge to the district and are pleased they decided to invest here in Gainsborough. The council, quite rightly, have invested £1.6m into this project to achieve a high level of design and the wider regeneration of the Roseway Quarter.

Mayor of Gainsborough Richard Craig added: “I’ve really enjoyed the ceremony, it has been a really successful day. There has been so much support from attendees, and from the local community. The building is very unique, and complements the surrounding buildings well.”

Travelodge District Manager Allison Barr said: “We are delighted to mark our 30 anniversary of trading in Lincolnshire by opening two prestigious hotels in the county, one in Gainsborough and the other in Lincoln City Centre. These two new additions will boost our Lincolnshire portfolio to 10 hotels and make Travelodge the county’s largest branded hotel chain.”

Allison continued: “Gainsborough Travelodge, the town’s first branded hotel will certainly help attract new business and leisure visitors to the area, which is great news for the local economy. As research shows annually Travelodge customers will spend £2 million with local businesses during their stay.”

Dransfield Properties has brought the development together with support from West Lindsey District Council as part of its inward investment strategy.

This expansion has boosted the company’s portfolio to 10 hotels in Lincolnshire and made Travelodge the county’s largest branded hotel chain.
