Man injured after assault outside Lincoln pub

The pub was taped off in the early hours of the morning.

A man has been seriously injured after an assault outside The Anchor pub on Lincoln High Street.

Officers were called to the incident at around 2.40am on Friday, November 2 and the area was taped off.

Police said it’s believed a man was attacked and hit his head on a bollard. He was taken to hospital.

A spokesperson from the force told The Lincolnite:  “We were called by our colleagues in the ambulance service at 2.42am this morning (November 2) to outside The Anchor pub in High Street, Lincoln.

“A man had been assaulted and it is believed that as a result he then his head on a bollard.

“He was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham.”

The cordon remained in place at around 9am.

It’s unclear at the time of writing if there have been any arrests in connection with the incident.
