People fight for their homes as floods batter Lincolnshire

Heavy rain is causing a lot of disruption in coastal towns

Residents in Wainfleet and other nearby towns have been battling to save their homes as heavy rains burst river banks.

Lincolnshire has seen the equivalent of months of rain over the past three days, causing much disruption across the county.

Towns like Horncastle and Wainfleet seem to be the most affected, with many wading through water in their homes.

Trains between Boston and Skegness have been cancelled over the next three days after the main line was completely flooded.

As previously reported, buses have been put in place to replace the existing services.
