Family pay tribute to young driver killed in tragic Lincolnshire crash

HIs family have released a statement

The family of a 21-year-old man have paid tribute after he was tragically killed in a crash over the weekend near Wainfleet.

He has been named as Cory Joe Peak, from the Boston area.

As reported previously, a Vauxhall Corsa and a blue Peugeot 1007 collided on the A52 Boston Road at 7.48am on Sunday, September 29.

Cory had been behind the wheel of the Corsa and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews.

In a statement, his family said: “The sudden loss and emptiness left behind has been felt by so many.”

The family have said they will release funeral details in due course.

The male driver of the Peugeot, who is aged 60 and from the Skegness area, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have dashcam footage of either vehicle or who saw the Corsa at around 7.30am driving out of Skegness.
