New £2 coin to celebrate 55th Red Arrows birthday

RAF fans and coin collectors rejoice

A new £2 coin has been created to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Red Arrows.

It’s the first-ever silver proof coin to feature a coloured design, which has been tipped by the Westminster Collection as a must-have.

It comes with a presentation box.

To mark the formation of the Red Arrows, the Royal Mint has created a limited run of just 2,500 of the special coins.

Anyone looking to get their hands on the silver and gold finished colour coin can get it for £80 plus a £3.99 postage and packaging fee.

For anyone looking for a slightly cheaper version can get the non-coloured version for £9.99 plus a £2.99 postage and packaging fee.

They also have a £9.99 version.

By buying the official merchandise, the money raised will go towards supporting the UK Armed Forces.
