Mr Sausage returns for weekend festival…with a wife!

Lincoln Sausage Festival is back with a bang…er!

It’s back with a bang…er! Mr Sausage is returning to Lincoln Sausage Festival with his wife.

The much-loved mascot had to bow out of last year’s festivities because the outfit was looking a bit wurst for wear.

His retirement just days before the festival got people quite upset, with some suggesting that it was like having “Easter without the bunny.”

Lincoln Sausage Festival organisers have now confirmed rumours that Mr Sausage would be at the event with his wife on Saturday, October 12.

Lincoln Castle and Castle Hill will be filled with over 40 stalls selling all types of sausages, between 10am and 5pm.

Entry is priced at £1 for adults, and children can enter free with an accompanying adult.

There will also be cooking demonstrations during the day from local chef Rachel Green and Curtis of Lincoln will hold sausage-making demonstrations.

Children’s entertainment and live music will also be on show including lively performances from The Cosmic Sausages and Juggling Jim.

The festival is organised by the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia, in association with the Select Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire County Council and the Lincoln Business Improvement Group.

All funds raised will go towards the work of the Rotary Club of Lindum Colonia.
