A brand new hair studio has opened at the bottom of Steep Hill in Lincoln to give its customers a “quieter sanctuary they can immerse themselves in”.
Business owners Rachel Haddock and Chloe Slater, along with self-employed stylist Megan Allsop, previously worked at Salon 2 on Burton Road for around six years.
The trio from Lincoln felt the time was right to launch Temple Gardens, which opened on Tuesday, October 22.
It is located on Danes Terrace near The Collection museum, at the bottom of Steep Hill, and has been decorated to make it a nice tranquil environment.

Rachel told The Lincolnite: “Myself and the other girls had been at Salon 2 for six to seven years work as self-employed. We decided it was time to branch out and put our own stamp on something that we have our own creative control over.
“We wanted to create a space where clients can come and fully relax. It is not just about coming to have your hair done, but taking that time out for yourself. We felt it was important that we created a quieter sanctuary that people can immerse themselves into.

“We are so grateful to Salon 2 for the opportunities and support we have had from them and allowing us to grow ourselves.
“Also a special thanks to Mark Henry, who made and fitted all the furniture for the salon, and Steven Haddock who did the branding, website and photography.”

Temple Gardens is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am-7pm, Wednesdays and Fridays 9am-5.30pm, and Saturdays 9am-5pm. Old and new clients can book appointments either by popping in to the salon or calling 07307 079 079.
Prices vary depending what customers want done, but it is the same cost for both men and women starting from £25. “Men being charged less was outdated and unfair, so we wanted to make it equal,” Rachel added.
