Lincoln pizza takeaway slapped with one food hygiene rating

They have been told to make major improvements

A pizza takeaway shop in Lincoln has been slapped with a one out of five food hygiene rating.

Papas Pizza, just off Trelawney Crescent, has been told to make major improvements to get their rating back up.

The takeaway’s one out of five rating is broken down into three areas:

  • Hygienic food handling – Improvement necessary
  • Cleanliness and condition of the building – Improvement necessary
  • Management of food safety – Major improvement necessary

The Lincolnite reached out to Papas Pizza several times over two days but nobody was available to answer any questions.

Deliveroo and Just Eat both list Papas Pizza on their websites, where the takeaway has a four out of five and a five out of six rating respectively.

Update: After The Lincolnite posted the story, the owner of Papa’s Pizza said that they have been busy doing repairs.

Masih Shabani said: “When you came to have a visit we were closed because we were doing flooring and repair as Lincoln council recommendation and advises.

“The major problem for the shop were flooring and has been done.

“We have a revisit from the council and they are totally happy with our conditions and you can ask them.

“All the job is done as note from council and we are waiting for rescore and it will be happens by next three months.”
