Fire breaks out at commercial building in South Hykeham

Multiple fire crews attended

Fire crews rushed to the scene of a commercial building fire in South Hykeham in the early hours of Friday morning.

Six fire engines attended, along with the aerial platform and two pumps supporting it, to the building on Roman Way at 12.18am on December 13.

Severe damage by fire was done to 60% of a storage facility, with three main jets, a hose reel, breathing apparatus, aerial ladder and ColdCut Cobra used by the crews to extinguish the fire.

Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue said at 5.53am that three appliances were still at the scene. Lincolnshire Police also attended and assisted their colleagues.

The cause remains unknown and there are no reports of any injuries at the time of writing.
