Lincoln woman in packed court accused of causing three teens’ deaths in crash

Tensions reached boiling point

Tensions reached boiling point in a packed court as a Lincoln woman was sent to Crown Court accused of causing the death of three teenagers by dangerous driving.

Kasey Boulton, 18-years-old and of Heath Close in Welton Cliff, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court for the first time on Thursday, December 5.

The biggest room in the courthouse was full and some people needed to stand to be able to hear the initial outcome.

Some in the public gallery said under their breaths that the case “was a joke” and some parents exchanged stern words after the magistrates’ decision was read out.

It comes after a Vauxhall crashed on Heath Lane near Welton at around 8pm on March 25, killing three teenagers and injuring three more.

Over £3,500 was raised for the funerals of the crash victims – Joby John (14), Aiden Sawyer (17) and Ricky Sharpe (17).

The court highlighted that the consumption of alcohol and or drugs will not form part of the case, despite rumours online.

Kasey Boulton, dressed in all black, was granted unconditional bail and told to go to Lincoln Crown Court on January 3 for the next hearing.
