Two crashes cripple traffic in Lincoln

It is causing heavy traffic delays

A moped rider has been injured after a crash at The Cedars near the St Catherine’s roundabout in Lincoln on Friday afternoon.

Lincolnshire Police were called at 3.03pm to the crash between a car and a yellow moped, which is causing a lot of traffic issues in the city.

One lane is blocked outside The Cedars at the time of writing and police are at the scene guiding traffic.

Police said the moped rider received a leg injury, but the extent of the injury is not yet known.

There has also been a separate crash on the A46 involving a single van, which was reported to police at 3.16pm on Friday.

Police said at 4.15pm that the A46 is closed at Whisby roundabout after a serious collision and to avoid the road if possible.
