Louth girl in hospital after hit and run

A young girl has been hospitalised after a hit and run in Louth.

She was walking across the pedestrian crossing on Newmarket near to the Co-op at around 4.15pm on Monday, January 6.

Police believe a five-door silver Ford Focus hatchback drove over the crossing while the lights were showing red.

The young girl was taken to the hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.

Lincolnshire Police has asked anyone with information to call 101 and quote incident 306 of January 6.
