Sibsey pensioner fights off three burglars

A Sibsey pensioner managed to fight off three burglars from their home.

The three men were dressed in all black when they went to the house on Wheatsheaf Close just after midday on January 31.

They threatened the pensioner who stood their ground before the three men ran away.

Police have charged Craig Thompson, 35 and from Rothwell, with attempted robbery.

However, two of the suspects remain outstanding prompting a police appeal for dashcam footage in the area.

Anyone with information about the attempted robbery has been urged to call 101 and quote incident 147 of January 31.
