Most Lincolnshire bin collections to continue as normal over Easter

Most councils are taking a business as usual approach

Lincolnshire councils’ bin collections will mostly continue as normal over the Easter weekend.

Authorities often change their schedule over the bank holiday, however, most across Greater Lincolnshire have this year confirmed they will be keeping their usual schedule unchanged.

A spokesman for South Holland District Council said: “Our egg-cellent crews are cracking on over Easter, meaning refuse, recycling and garden waste collections will still take place on the usual dates.”

They added: “The crews are working hard to make sure that garden waste collections are still taking place as normal currently, so please do leave your bin out.”

North East Lincolnshire, East Lindsey District Council, Boston Borough Council, North Kesteven District Council, City of Lincoln Council and West Lindsey District Council have all reported collections as normal.

North Lincolnshire has made some changes to their collections with each one over this week, before Easter, taking place a day earlier. The last one was held today (Thursday).

South Kesteven District Council will continue tomorrow’s (Good Friday) collection as normal, however, will not be collecting on Monday with the rest of the collections taking place a day later than usual up until Saturday, April 18.
