She is now recovering at home

A Scunthorpe nurse with coronavirus was given a guard of honour by her colleagues and friends, who clapped as she left the hospital.

Sue Snelson is a Critical Care Outreach Nurse Specialist at Scunthorpe General Hospital, and for a long time she was the manager of the Intensive Care Unit where she recently spent around 10 days as a patient.

The North Lincolnshire And Goole NHS Foundation Trust posted an emotional video on social media on Thursday, where Sue can be seen walking through the hospital corridor wearing a mask.

Sue walks through a guard of honour of colleagues and friends who’d cared for her in hospital, whilst being helped by a member of staff.

Sue is now recovering at home.
