No new COVID deaths in Lincolnshire on Monday

Only six fatalities across England, NHS figures show

Greater Lincolnshire has seen no further coronavirus-related deaths reported on Monday as just six people died in hospitals across England.

In NHS statistics released this afternoon none of the trusts across Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire or North East Lincolnshire reported any further deaths.

It follows one death in Lincolnshire over the weekend which brought to an end a more than two-week run without any additional fatalities.

The figures break down as follows:

  • 142 at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (up from 141)
  • 3 at Lincolnshire Community Health Service hospitals (no change)
  • 1 at Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust (no change)
  • 118 in Northern Lincolnshire (NLAG) (no change)

Although the final figure for deaths nationally is higher later in the day after taking into account laboratory-confirmed fatalities, NHS England today registered just six deaths among patients who tested positive for COVID-19.

Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales have all announced no further deaths.

It compares to 27 yesterday (Sunday) and 11 on the same time last week.

However, it is accepted by health experts that earlier week figures are often lower due to a lag in the recording process.
