TGI Fridays is coming to Lincoln after the company took over Carluccio’s High Street unit.
It’s one of two sites TGI is taking over from Carluccio’s after the Italian restaurant group fell into administration during the COVID-19 crisis, according to The Caterer.
CEO Robert Cook said he hopes to open in the new locations in September or October.
Lincoln is meant to have a greater focus on alcohol sales due to the city’s large student population, according to reports.
Cook said the Lincoln location and the second in Cobham, Surrey, “were relatively inexpensive opportunities that were great,” but he remains cautious about the economic outlook due to the coronavirus pandemic.
