Crazy golf coming to Lincoln Cornhill this summer

Plus street food, ice cream and cocktails

Get ready to grab a putter and play some crazy golf at a new seaside style pop-up experience in Lincoln’s Cornhill this summer.

Cornhill Cove will open near to the Halifax and Santander banks for a month, with a soft opening on August 13 and official launch the day after.

It will feature a free to use bespoke nine-hole crazy golf course, as well as deckchairs, street food, ice cream vendors and summer cocktails.

The site layout will feature picnic benches and deck chairs for groups of family or friends in a social bubble.

One-way systems and socially distanced queues will be in operation at all times and regular sanitisation will take place.

Cornhill Cove will feature a free to use bespoke nine-hole crazy golf course.

Cornhill Cove will open Sunday to Wednesday between 11am-7pm and Thursday to Saturday from 11pm-11pm.

It is a collaboration between local operators and Lincoln BIG and will also help local street food traders who have missed out on a whole season due to the coronavirus crisis.

The site will also include street food, ice cream and summer cocktails.

A free area in the Cornhill to sit and enjoy.

Co-organiser Ben Webb said: “We’re excited to bring this fun concept to Lincoln in August. It’s important that we all have things to enjoy and look forward to this summer.

“We’re creating a seaside holiday inspired pop-up event that’s suitable for all ages and perfect for days out in the sunshine!”
