Grantham street taped off for police probe

A police cordon was put in place after a woman was injured during an assault in Grantham overnight.

Lincolnshire Police received a report of an assault on a woman in Oxford Street at around 1.30am on Monday, August 31.

A woman was taken to hospital for treatment, but her injuries are not thought to be serious.

Police said shortly before 1.30pm on Monday, August 31 that there was a scene guard in place whilst investigations were ongoing.
