Teens charged after group and police officer assaulted in Skegness

Two teens named, one underage

Three teenagers have been charged after a group of people and a police officer were assaulted in Skegness.

Lincolnshire Police officers were called a report that a group of people had been assaulted at the entrance to Tower Gardens area on Grand Parade at 12.20am on Tuesday, August 25.

During the incident some of their belongings were stolen. Three teens were arrested and a police officer was assaulted, but not seriously injured.

They have since been named as:

  • Corey Chester, 19, from Pelham Avenue in Nottingham
  • Cole Blacow, 18, from Little Casterton Road in Stamford
  • A 17-year-old from Nottingham (not named for legal reasons as he’s under 18)

They have all been charged with two counts of robbery, one count of attempted robbery and two counts of assault.

In addition, Blacow has been charged with an offence of assaulting a police officer.

The trio all had their bail declined and will appear by virtual link at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August 26.
